The first few weeks of school can be stressful when you are getting back into the routine. For the past few years my kids have had a hard time the first two weeks of school. This year however was smooth sailing and inspired me to write this post and share with you some amazing oily tricks that I used. I used essential oils to help them focus and get over any nervous feeling they had about their new classes and teachers.
I have been talking to their teachers to see if they showed some signs tiredness or lack of interest but I was surprised to hear that they are doing wonderfully. After lazy mornings of sleeping in, it’s often hard to get kids up but instead of enticing him or her out of bed with yummy smells of pancakes, as they do in commercials, why not wake them up by diffusing essential oils.

Help kids to calm down: I put one drop of cedarwood on their wrists and tell them to take a sniffle few times a day. My child came home saying his teacher noticed the smell of cedarwood and he was so happy. He said “mommy she knows all about Young Living essential oils”. Cedarwood oil contains the highest amount of sesquiterpenes which are a hydrocarbon group that is found in essential oils. They stimulate the limbic system of the brain which helps to elevate our mood, makes us relax and overcome stress. This explains why Cedarwood may help with focus in the classroom. Get it here.

The best and most exciting products Young Living came up with are the new kids diffusers. My kids are obsessed with diffusing their oils. They even wait so impatiently for my essential oil monthly reward to come each month and try new ones. They also keep me updated on which oils we are running out so I make sure to include it in my monthly order.
